**Role Details**

Court Officers contribute to the community by helping to ensure that the court system operates fairly, transparently, and efficiently, and that justice is accessible to all members of the community.

We are seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is interested in pursuing a career in the legal industry or who has interest or experience in court administration.

Key Responsibilities:

- Managing court documents and filing systems
- Ensuring the accuracy of court records and case management systems
- Liaising with judicial officers, legal professionals, and other court staff
- Coordinating and scheduling court proceedings
- Providing excellent customer service to court users

**Remuneration**:
ASO2 - $58,709 to $63,154 pa plus 11.5% superannuation

**Special Conditions**:

- There are a variety of temporary positions available for up to 6 months with the possibility of extension.
- The positions are available within the Adelaide CBD.
- Appointment is under the _Courts Administration Act 1993_. Terms and Conditions of employment are governed by the _Public Sector Act 2009_.
- Appointment is dependent upon a current National Police Certificate that the CAA finds satisfactory.
- This role is identified as a Prescribed Position and the successful applicant is required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) prior to employment with the CAA, which must be renewed every five years before expiry.
WWCC’s can be obtained through the Department of Human Services (DHS) Screening Unit
- As a justice agency, the CAA may receive details of spent convictions as part of any Criminal History Screening and use this information in the selection process.
- Appointees may be directed to disclose their COVID-19 vaccination status.
- Eligible for appointment as a Justice of the Peace.
- May be appointed as a Deputy Registrar pursuant to the _Magistrate Court Act 1991_ and/or as a Deputy Sheriff Pursuant to the _Sheriff’s Act 1978._
- Some out of hours work may be required.
