We have an exciting new opportunity to join Opal as a Health & Safety Business Partner managing health and safety for our Brooklyn fibre manufacturing site.

This role will be an individual contributor role responsible for the implementation of health & safety policy, systems and procedures. You will monitor compliance, ensure recommendations are reviewed and implemented with site management, and provide advice and support in accordance with the relevant workplace Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental legislation and Opal standards.

Critical to your success in this role will be your ability to provide advice, technical expertise, knowledge and education to our teams and leaders of the business to enable them to improve health and safety outcomes and culture.

The key components of this role will fall into the following categories:

- Health and Safety systems and compliance
- Health and Safety strategy and planning
- Technical counsel, advice and training to site staff and team leaders
- Risk Management
- Health and Safety incident management
- Continuous improvement focus, particularly health and safety culture
- Employee wellbeing programs
