**You will lead the delivery of efficient and effective services** related to road and drainage infrastructure within the City's boundaries. This involves coordinating the work, ensuring it is done safely, with high quality, and excellent customer service.
**What You Will Be Working On**:
- Lead and coordinate work activities related to road and drainage infrastructure within the City's boundaries, using both internal and contract partner resources.
- Efficiently plan and execute civil maintenance operations, focusing on safety, quality, and customer service.
- Safe work planning to ensure efficient and effective delivery, working closely with the Supervisory Team to secure the right resources.
- Develop daily work plans for road works, drainage maintenance, and reinstatement programs, ensuring tasks are clearly defined and executed efficiently.
- Allocate resources and equipment effectively to meet daily operational requirements, optimizing productivity.
- Collaborate with team members and external contractors to ensure seamless integration of work activities.
- Operate Council's machinery with precision and adhere to approved work practices.
- Safely set up traffic management safety signs and equipment according to Council's procedures and industry standards.
- Promote a strong culture of responsibility for safety and sustainability.

- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with a focus on safety and service delivery.
- Proficiency in contractor management, ensuring work is done right the first time.
- An understanding of permitting and work planning, with a safety-first mindset.
- Experience in civil works and the ability to liaise effectively with external contracting companies.
- Significant experience in the delivery of: roadworks, non-structural concrete construction, pipe laying and drainage construction, reinstatement of earth following disturbance of City assets.
- Management of contaminated materials
- Service locating
- Crew leadership
- Contractor management
- HR license
- High Risk License (dogging)
- Use of digital platforms to manage work
