We are seeking an experienced and skilled Parks Maintenance Team Lead to join our Technical Services team, reporting directly to our Parks and Reserves Manager.
Salary and Benefits
The successful applicant will receive a competitive salary of $67,000 - $78,000 per annum, plus 3.5% per hour Adverse Working Allowance and 11% Superannuation contribution.
In addition to your base salary, you'll enjoy a range of benefits including flexible leave policies, additional days off, and access to our Employee Assistance Program for personal and professional support.
Job Description
As a Crew Supervisor - Parks Operations, you will be responsible for leading a team of park maintenance staff in the upkeep of our parks and green spaces, ensuring they remain pristine and captivating for the community's enjoyment.
Your key responsibilities will include supervising the operation of trucks and 4WD spray units, expertly utilizing tractors and various equipment, executing horticultural and landscaping activities, and proficiently using mowers, whipper snippers, and other small equipment.
You will work closely with the Parks and Reserves Manager to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively, while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Extensive experience in large-scale parks maintenance, ideally within a local government or similar environment.
- A current MR/HR licence and proficiency in operating a variety of horticultural plant and equipment safely and competently.
- Previous experience operating ride-on mowers and powered spray units.
- The ability to obtain a current National Police Check.
You will also possess excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team to achieve desired outcomes.
