Land Transport Safety and Regulation Branch manages access to, and use of, the transport system through policy reform, large-scale projects, and business improvement. The Policy Support Officer role would be suitable for someone looking to pursue a career in government policy development. In the role of Policy Support Officer, you will work to support the Executive Director of Legislation, Standards and Accreditation to deliver a diverse and challenging program of work that ensures the safety and efficiency of the Queensland transport system.
**Some of your responsibilities will include**: - Provide accurate, confidential and timely executive support, including word processing, document coordination, minute taking and preparation of materials for meetings. Maintain the Executive Director's diary, arrange meetings, conferences, travel and accommodation bookings, itineraries, and coordinate documentation needed for these activities for LSA. Maintain positive and collaborative relationships with Team Leaders, Managers and Directors as well as all staff within the team. Liaise with and support team members and project teams in the development coordination and implementation of policies, procedures as required. Research issues related to policy, legislative and business solutions that aim to modernise policy and legislation and improve road safety.
**To note**: This would be a fixed-term opportunity until November 2024 with a possibility of extension.
