At the Department of the Premier and Cabinet (DPC) it is our job to support and advise the Premier and Cabinet so that the government's priorities, commitments, decisions and objectives for the community can be delivered.
Social Policy in the Cabinet Office plays a central role in addressing strategic issues across a range of areas including health, housing, disability services, child safety, youth justice, multicultural affairs and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander policy.
Your opportunity:
You will be part of the "engine room" of Government and help to drive strategic policy issues in the social sector through:
- Supporting senior officers to analyse complex policy issues.
- Contributing ideas supported by your problem-solving skills for better solutions.
- Preparing a range of written information to inform policy directions.
- Managing and assisting with projects and project deliverables as required.
- Building collaborative relationships across government.
About you:
We are looking for a proactive starter who can:
- Take direction and use their initiative to respond to emerging issues.
- Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders to develop solutions.
- Inform decisionmaking through concise written material, this may include letters, briefing notes, and Cabinet related items.
