Leading Financial Service business based in Sydney CBD is seeking a Business Improvement Specialist / Consultant who is accountable for delivering continuous improvement initiatives across the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll and Procurement processes and platforms including the formation of strategy.

This role will involve close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including:

- The Supplier and Finance Operations teams
- Executive Directors, Directors and business stakeholders across the organisation, in particular HR and Technology
- Service providers and outsourced partners
- Consultancy groups engaged in business activities.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design and deliver a payroll strategy that addresses the decision to insource or outsource the payroll function; increase accuracy of staff payments; review and optimise cycle time; design operational metrics and reporting and provides recommendations for Oracle HR and Payroll system improvements.
- Participate in weekly and fortnightly stakeholder meetings and steering groups, representing the interests of the Supplier and Finance Operations division in decisions proposed, process or system enhancements.
- Deliver Accounts Payable and Receivable system and processing improvements and design and implement operational metrics, targets and reporting.
- Identify and deliver procurement improvements to streamline Sourcing to Pay process flow including order approval to delivery of goods / services to payment and ensuring appropriate controls, SLAs and payments monitoring is in place.

**Essential**:

- 10+ years in a consulting, business improvement or strategy role
- Will ideally have Advanced Oracle HCM, ERP knowledge.
- Extensive experience in managing relationships with senior leaders and executives.
- Ability to lead, develop and implement business improvement strategies, and convert these to incremental business delivery.
- High attention to detail and appreciation of broader business context and direction
- Strong commercial acumen

**Desirable**:

- Relevant post graduate tertiary qualifications ideally in commercial or business-related discipline
- Lean Six Sigma qualification.

This will commence as a 12 month day-rate contract role and will pay $1200 - $1400 + super / day. It will be a blended WFH / Sydney CBD office 2- 3 days / week.
