The End User Computing, Support Technician supports the provisioning of End User Computing (EUC) hardware for staff and student-based teaching spaces within the university. This position provides first level technical support for staff that present technical problems at service hubs located on each of the Geelong and Burwood campuses.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Logistical management including handling the packing and unpacking of goods, coordinating physical relocation of hardware, repurposing hardware and ensuring their safe and timely transport
- Deploy Deakin's standard operating environment (SOE) to university-owned end-user hardware involves configuring and installing the necessary software and settings to ensure that the devices meet the university's requirements and standards
- Administration of asset management for university-owned end-user hardware involves maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all devices, tracking their usage, and ensuring their proper maintenance and disposal
- Create practical, simple, and accessible solutions to problems after considering multiple perspectives
- Consult with available sources to gather relevant information and seek the expertise and advice of other people as appropriate
- Clarify expectations and respond promptly to client requests, queries, or complaints to ensure client needs are met to agreed standards and timelines
- Improve convenience and accessibility by providing a range of service options
- Use knowledge of continuous improvement principles to analyse current processes and practices
- Collect and analyse information and data from a variety of appropriate sources to solve work problems
- Recognise the importance of teamwork and of effective communication amongst team members and build rapport within immediate team in ways that are respectful and inclusive of others
- Seek to understand the evolving digital landscape and keep abreast of trends and new technologies

**To be successful, you’ll have**:

- Completion of a Degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or
- Completion of a Diploma and at least two years subsequent relevant work experience; or
- Completion of a Post-Trades Certificate or Advanced Certificate and extensive relevant experience as a Technician; or
- An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training (Computer science or Information Technology)
- Demonstrated experience in enterprise computer provisioning processes (Intune/SCCM/Jamf Pro)
- Significant experience in supporting PCs and MACs both hardware and software
- Significant experience in customer engagement and delivering support and advice services
- Experience working in a university environment _*Desirable_
