Lead College looking Accounting Intern, your role involves gaining practical experience and exposure to various aspects of accounting within an education industry. Here's an overview of what your responsibilities and tasks might include:

- **Assisting with Financial Data Entry**: Inputting financial transactions into Xero and in spreadsheets under the supervision of an accountant or financial manager.
- **Supporting Accounts Payable and Receivable**: Assisting with processing invoices, issuing payments, and reconciling accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- **Assisting with Month-End Close**: Supporting month-end closing procedures, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and compiling financial reports.
- **Financial Analysis**: Assisting with financial analysis tasks, such as reviewing financial statements, analyzing trends, and preparing variance reports.
- **Budgeting and Forecasting**: Assisting with budget preparation and forecasting activities by gathering relevant data and assisting in the creation of budget reports.
- **Audit Support**: Assisting with audit preparation by gathering supporting documents, reconciling accounts, and performing audit-related tasks as assigned.
- **General Administrative Tasks**: Performing various administrative tasks to support the accounting department, such as filing documents, organizing financial records, and responding to inquiries.
- **Software Proficiency**: Developing proficiency in Xero software and aXcelerate Student Management System used by Lead College for financial reporting and analysis.
- **Learning and Development**: Actively participating in training sessions, workshops, and other learning opportunities to expand your knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- **Collaboration and Communication**: Collaborating with team members across different departments and communicating effectively to ensure the smooth flow of financial information and processes.
- **Professionalism and Ethical Conduct**: Adhering to professional standards and ethical guidelines in all aspects of your work, including maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Contract, Internship
Contract length: 6 months

**Salary**: $22.51 - $25.36 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
