- Immediate start available **About the Electoral Integrity and Regulation Branch** The Electoral Integrity and Regulation (EIR) Branch administers the VEC’s electoral integrity, compliance, enforcement and regulatory activities, and oversees Victoria’s political funding and disclosure laws. The EIR Branch informs and supports the planning and delivery of the VEC’s electoral functions to enhance and protect the integrity of Victoria’s electoral processes. The EIR Branch coordinates disputes or litigation involving the Electoral Commissioner and partners closely with all stakeholders to ensure the successful conduct of electoral programs within a highly regulated environment.

**About the role**

Do you value democracy and integrity? This might be the perfect role for you. The VEC is recruiting for a Principal Advisor, Disclosure and Reporting in our Funding, Disclosure and Parties team. The Funding, Disclosure and Parties team is responsible for administering Victoria's political donation disclosure and reporting obligations, the three electoral funding streams prescribed by the _Electoral Act 2002_, and the maintenance of the register of political parties on behalf of the Electoral Commissioner. Reporting to the Manager, Funding, Disclosure and Parties, the Principal Advisor, Disclosure and Reporting has operational responsibility for the administration of the political donation disclosure and reporting laws in Victoria, including facilitating and monitoring disclosure of political donations, leading the receipt and processing of annual returns, and providing authoritative advice and information to internal and external stakeholders in relation to these activities.

**The successful applicant**
You will have demonstrated experience in a legislative, regulatory, compliance or policy environment. You will be a natural communicator and will be able to communicate complex information in plain English to a variety of audiences and stakeholders. You will enjoy utilising your diplomacy and interpersonal skills to form and strengthen relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including high profile persons. Your time management and problem-solving skills will compliment your analytical and strategic thinking. Experience in legal, compliance, financial and/or regulatory discipline is highly desirable.
