Bookstore - Customer Orders Specialist

Dymocks Melbourne, the biggest and busiest book shop in Melbourne, is looking for an experienced, full-time team member to join our Special Orders team.
The successful applicant will need sound computer skills, have the ability to think laterally and provide excellent customer service.
**As a Full-time Special Orders team member, your primary duties will be**:
- Locating stock in-store for customers
- Checking the price and availability of special order titles
- Placing customer orders, checking backorders and chasing up overdue orders with suppliers
- Answering phone enquiries and processing phone orders for collection and post out
- Sharing Click & Collect duties
- Organising and maintaining the orders counter and holds area
**Prior bookstore experience is essential.**
The position is Monday to Friday 38 Hours per week from 10am to 6pm.
(Extra weekend hours may be required at peak times throughout the year especially in the lead up to Christmas).
If you are able to work independently but also collaboratively in a team environment and have a cheerful, can-do attitude we would love to hear from you.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
