**The Client**:
Join a reputable retirement village located in the serene suburb of Buderim, Queensland. With a commitment to providing exceptional living experiences for seniors, our client is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and enhance the quality of life for residents.
**The Role**:
As the Community Manager, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming and supportive environment for residents while ensuring the efficient management of the retirement village. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of seniors and foster a vibrant community atmosphere.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Foster a warm and inclusive community environment that promotes resident engagement, well-being, and social connections.
- Oversee the daily operations of the retirement village, including facilities management, staff supervision, and resident services.
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, and staff, addressing their needs and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Coordinate social and recreational activities, events, and programs that enrich the lives of residents and promote active aging.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures governing retirement village operations.
- Manage financial aspects of the community, including budgeting, billing, and expense management.
- Collaborate with external service providers and healthcare professionals to support resident care and wellness initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to resident services, facility maintenance, and community activities.
- Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement strategies to enhance resident satisfaction and community engagement.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Previous experience in community management, preferably in a retirement village or similar setting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and connect with seniors and their families.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to support the well-being and independence of older adults.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
- Leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate staff and volunteers.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations governing retirement village operations (e.g., Retirement Villages Act).
