The role you could play

Join us as a Support Worker in Surry Hills Working in our Homelessness stream, you will work with clients to identify and build upon their ability to function independently. In this role you will also work collaboratively with Case Managers and Team Leaders to provide holistic support to those seeking our service.

Your key responsibilities
- Work alongside Case Management Team to identify, action and respond to client needs as required
- Complete reports for incidents, near misses and following policies and procedures to address potential high-risk situations and other work hazards
- Identify service gaps and risks, make recommendations for service delivery to the Leadership Team
- Participate in ongoing professional and skill development to enhance service delivery and practice
- Perform role in line with Trauma Informed Care principles, The Salvation Army’s No Wrong Door Policy, the Mission, Vision & Values as well as the processes, procedures and other policies of TSA at all times

We have multiple casual roles available, located in Surry Hills, NSW. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Level 1 Award.
- Minimum Cert IV in Community Services required
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Understanding of Trauma Informed Care Framework is desirable
- This is a service-based role that could include 24-hour shift work (Days, afternoon, nights and weekends, public holidays).
- Must have a current Working with Children Check
- Willingness to complete a National Criminal History Check
- Willingness to obtain a Senior First Aid Certificate
- Drivers Licence desirable
