Join our team as a proactive and dedicated Peer Support Worker in Surry Hills

The role you could play

Key responsibilities
- Provide clients who are accessing the service with a welcoming and responsive initial contact, as well as their urgent and immediate needs are addressed
- Assist and/or facilitate external activities with the support of the Team Leader
- Explore and assist in the co-creation of opportunities for additional activities for client engagement
- Information is provided to assist in assessing and addressing client issues, needs and circumstances
- Effective relationships are established with clients that encourage self-determination and participation and support them to improve their situation

This is a permanent part time (22.8 hours) position, located in Surry Hills, NSW. This position will work across 3 days. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award Level 1.
- Certificate IV qualification in (Community Services, Mental Health or similar) or related field with relevant experience or demonstrated equivalent experience, knowledge, and skills
- A Working with Children/Vulnerable people check
- First aid certificate (Desirable)
- Food handling certificate or willingness to obtain
- Driver’s Licence desirable
