Role model the values and behaviours:
Lead by example, holding the team to account on behavioural & key objectives
Formulate & set budget targets & parameters through the budget process, have accountability for the profit & loss Timely completion of monthly operations reports
Provide visible leadership by means of positive interaction, regular communication & reinforcing clear expectations Ensure the site operates with the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ), HACCP, Approved Arrangement guidelines, whilst ensuring Chain of Responsibility (COR) compliance
Follow & enforce all food safety, quality and legislative requirements
Adhere and keep informed of all relevant legislation, product safety & quality issues, scientific & technical developments, industry and codes of practice

Lead site safety initiatives & be a visible safety champion Ensure company safety policies & procedures are implemented
Ensure agreed customers service levels are met on a consistent basis and regularly reviewed & take corrective action to address any issues
Monitor & measure financial outcomes & productivity against targets, and identify and implement corrective action to address gaps
Seek out opportunities for continuous improvement focusing on cost reductions
Ensure all staff are trained to operate all machinery / equipment & understand warehouse systems
Ensure organisational structure is in place for future requirements & potential growth
Contribute to the senior management team by assisting with development of strategies and ways of operating to achieve standards & consistency
Develop & implement succession planning & provide an environment for developing & motivating an effective team Provide training and development opportunities to staff through external courses, cross training, delegating of work and exposure to higher level activities
Manage the operations with agreed contractual parameters to deliver quality customer service
Communicate & foster the development of a common vision. Energise our people behind a sense of purpose by providing clarity of priorities and strategies
Consistently hit or exceed the goals and objectives set by self and others
Dedicated to meet the expectations of internal & external customers
Create a climate of innovation where people feel comfortable offering ideas.

Qualifications & Experience
- 5 years + management experience in the logistics & transport industry, preferably 3PL
- Develop & implement financial budgets, targets & reporting
- Strong understanding of profit & loss balance sheets
- Proven history of cost control & improvement
- Management of customer relationships & resolution issues
- Strong understanding and implementation of safety procedures, regulatory requirements and standards
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office Suite)
- Warehouse Management systems literate
- Ability to contribute to implement and manage business plans
- Strong understanding of MHE & traffic management / operation requirements
- Strong knowledge of policies, SOP's & relevant legislation
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Exceptional analytical and problems solving skills
