About the role

Reporting to the Head of People Partnering, in this role you will be both people and commercially focused, playing a key role in supporting leaders to facilitate a positive culture underpinned by high performing and highly engaged team members. You'll partner with the senior leadership and management teams, identifying and implementing strategic and practical HR solutions that will help deliver our business objectives of making tennis the activity of choice for everyone and to create the world’s leading sporting and entertainment event.

Areas of responsibilities includes but is not limited to; workforce planning and organisational design, employee relations, employment law, talent development, talent management, policy development, employee engagement, remuneration and benefits, and performance management & diversity and inclusion.

In this role you will:

- Enable business strategy through tailored HR practices that deliver people solutions
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with leaders by building in-depth knowledge of the business, strategy and objectives
- Provide day to day performance management guidance to leaders and employees (coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions)
- Assist with recruitment and selection activity for your business units
- Work closely with stakeholders to develop fit for purpose professional development and learning solutions
- Support the wider team in the HR service during the AO and other tennis tournaments and events as required

What you will bring to the role:

- Proven experience within a HR business partnering role; sport or event industry experience advantageous
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement skills with ability to interact and develop strong relationships at all levels
- Excellent HR skills including a demonstrated capacity to meet organisational recruitment and selection needs and the ability to recognise and respond quickly to emerging demand/opportunities
- Well-developed organisation & HR management skills: must be able to develop concepts into recommendations, and deliver on time and within budget
- A genuine passion for people including excellent communication skills
- A confident, can-do attitude and a willingness to enable stakeholders to effectively do their job
- Strong understanding of current IR legislation
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, HRM or IR and/or suitable and transferable workplace experience
- You must hold (or be willing to obtain) a current Police Check and Working with Children Check
