Permanent ESO Lead working in the South-East region of Western Australia in an 8:6 roster FIFO from Perth

**Your new company**

As an experienced ESO Lead, you will be working for an owner operator for laterite nickel in an open-pit mining environment located in the Southeast region of Western Australia. Operations involve three open-pits, an ore processing beneficiation plant and includes purpose-built facilities for transporting product from the plant.

**Your new role**

As a highly experienced ESO Lead, your primary activities will be to lead, report and monitor day to day safety activities and to provide early intervention and management of illness and injuries, support other departments with ERT requirements and complete all other required duties as required. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of employees in emergency situations. Duties will include but are not limited to;
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, ensuring the implementation of appropriate emergency response procedures
- Lead and coordinate emergency response teams, providing clear direction and guidance during crisis situations
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and identify potential hazards, taking necessary actions to minimise risks
- Maintain and update emergency response plans, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
- Collaborate with other departments and external agencies to ensure effective emergency preparedness and response
- Provide training and education to employees on emergency procedures, promoting a culture of safety and awareness
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure emergency equipment and systems are in working order
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to emergency response activities

**What you'll need to succeed**

As a positive and highly skilled ESO Lead professional, you will need;
- Cert 3 Mines Rescue or Public Safety with at least 5+ years' experience in a similar capacity
- Cert IV Healthcare (Ambulance) with previous experience in a clinical or emergency capacity
- Drug & Alcohol Testing Certification
- Current minimum HR B licence
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated results from working as a leader in an emergency team environment
- INX experience, InControl, InFlight, or InTuition
- Mental Health First Aid qualification
- Safety Officer Qualification with previous experience in the same or similar position
- Cert 4 Training and Assessment
- Drive under emergency conditions qualification
- Current or previous Security qualifications and experience
- Testing and Tagging of Fire Fighting Equipment
- Exposure to large minerals processing and mining environments
