**Your new team**

Cyber Security is part of the Technology business unit at Commonwealth Bank.

Cyber Security’s purpose is to engender trust, and enable secure and innovative experiences for customers and communities.

**Your responsibilities**
- Lead the team’s response activities to cyber security incidents while capturing essential details and artefacts.
- Operationalise actionable intelligence reports from Cyber Intelligence team and external sources.
- Maintain incident response documentation, lead post incident review activities, and write incident reports.
- Partake in an “on-call” roster where required to ensure out-of-hours incident response coverage.
- Lead and co-ordinate the development and enhancement of incident response playbooks and operating procedures.
- Assist in the development of the team by mentoring and providing advice where appropriate.
- Demonstrate thought leadership in the enhancement of incident response capabilities.
- Contribute to projects that enhance the security posture of the group.
- Participate in threat hunt and purple team activities to identify areas for improvement.
- Identify trends, potential new technologies, and emerging threats, which may impact the Group.

**What you will need to succeed**

Do you have a passion for developing systems and process dedicated to finding and eradicating malicious activity?
- Strong incident response experience is essential.
- Strong technical background across a broad set of systems and infrastructure is essential.
- Ability to articulate technical concepts while catering to different audiences is essential.
- Ability to deal with pressure and be adaptive to change during major incidents is essential.
- Strong background in Splunk, Microsoft technologies, and Jira/Confluence is essential.
- Strong document writing ability, with experience in developing documents suitable for executive leadership is essential.
- Experience with malware analysis, forensics, intrusion detection, threat intelligence or other incident response specialisation is desirable.
- Experience writing tools to automate tasks and integrate systems in PowerShell, Python or equivalent is desirable.
