**About the Role**

The Social Media Specialist - IELTS leads the development and management of social media for the IELTS brand on both a central and global scale. This role is responsible for developing and publishing social content informed by insights and trends and ensuring that the monthly global social calendar is distributed to and utilised by the regional network. The role is also responsible for wider global messaging, social listening, reporting, monitoring and the oversight of community management for IELTS, as well as the general upkeep of global social channels and external platforms.

**This is a fixed term engagement commencing March 2023**

**What you will do**:
**Social Media**
- Help develop, implement, and manage the IELTS social media strategy.
- Own the development of the IELTS global social editorial calendar and content production.
- Support the global network of IELTS social media practitioners to ensure social media best practices and brand guidelines are adhered to, and guide them on increasing engagement, reach and conversions.
- Liaise with Comms, Central Marketing and other stakeholders to determine the direction and release of key messages across social media.
- Define social media KPIs and measure the success of IELTS campaigns.
- Ensure a global tone of voice and set response document is kept and updated with current responses and escalation guidelines.
- Engage with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create content and a strong network around IELTS.
- Use social listening tools to find opportunities for IELTS lead generation, nurturing and conversion, and distil these findings into a company-wise insights report.

**Analytics and reporting**
- Measure the success of social media content and draw actionable conclusions to be share in bi-monthly report.
- Lead the IELTS organic social bookings monthly report and proactively offer ideas and suggestions on how to improve conversions to network.
- Report on IELTS organic social bookings for the Global Operations Report.
- Analyse market trends and communicate key findings.
- Manage the global social listening report.

**Collaboration**
- Maintain strong relationships with IDP’s network and support IELTS marketing staff with strategic advice.
- Advise the global content and social community on social updates, innovative platforms, and solutions to problems they face across Social.
- Lead a tri-weekly social media Super User Community of Best Practice updating on global practices and projects and celebrating regional wins.
- Contribute to building a positive work environment within the team based on a shared commitment to IDP’s values and quality.
- Manage Marketing Coordinator role in India
- Confident in managing Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Twitter and YouTube channels and have heard of Line, WeChat and Weibo.
- Exceptional English language proficiency.
- Ability to convert complex ideas into simple content with an excellent eye for detail, branding and design.
- Experience using social media management tools such as Hootsuite and Meltwater.
- Run a social media campaign from start to finish.
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, are unafraid to take risks, and learn from mistakes.

**Desirable attributes**:

- You have at least two years’ experience in a similar role.
- You come from a communications, digital advertising, marketing, or PR background.
- Experience in the international education industry
- Experience in working for a complex global organisation.
- You understand agile methodology can adopt an iterative method and flexible approach for rapid delivery.
