Family Planning Australia (FPA) is the leading provider of reproductive and sexual health and this role is a chance to make an impact at a high profile not-for-profit while growing your skills across a diverse workload focusing on communications, media, social channels and marketing.

This varied role will build on your excellent writing skills and equip professionals with a broad communications skillset so they may take on challenges across a broad professional landscape.

This is a permanent, full time role at our new clinical, education and research hub in Newington.

**Position Overview**

FPA is a dynamic organisation which regularly advocates for patient rights, equality of access to healthcare and other matters crucial to reproductive and sexual health. The CO may support this strategic work.

The CO is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of communications and marketing plans, social media content, pro-active opportunities, corporate collateral and other initiatives for use within and external to the organisation. The role will prepare marketing and communications strategies and materials on behalf of Family Planning Australia, identify media opportunities and develop media releases and support the work of the Marketing Manager and Associate Director Media and Strategic Communications.
- Base Full Time Salary: $64,249 - $68,724 (salary is based on experience)

**Selection Criteria**
Essential
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (media, marketing, communications, journalism, arts);
- Demonstrated experience in organisational and social media communication and/or digital marketing, including the ability to use social media tools as part of commnication, media and marketing strategies;
- Demonstrated experience and curating a social calendar, and strategy;
- An understanding of media relations, media strategies, and the development of media releases and key messages documents;
- An understanding of marketing and communications strategies, including audience segmentation;
- An ability to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- Must have full permanent working rights in Australia

Desirable
- Basic graphic deign skills.
- Other requirements_
- A Criminal Record Check and Working With Children Check are required prior to commencement in this role
