**The Business**

People2people are exclusively working with a well-known precast concrete specialist in their office based in Western Sydney. Spanning across the East Coast of Australia, the business is 100% Australian owned. They are looking for an experienced Pre-Contracts Manager who has strong pre-contract expertise to join the team in a stand-alone position.

**The Role**

This Pre-Contracts Manager will play a key role meeting the defined risk parameters of the business by reviewing, negotiating, and executing contracts. Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, the role will consist of the following however will not be limited to:

- Participating in all internal and client facing commercial aspects of the pre-contract process
- Provide contractual interpretation on different provisions to protect the company’s interests and mitigate risks, including making recommendations and negotiation with customers
- Draft tender submission documents and questionnaires
- Provide commercially focussed and balanced risk assessments of exposure and advise on contractual conditions to relevant stakeholders.
- Identify legal or contractual issues and develop new approaches to resolve complex issues.

**Experience**

To be successful in this role you will need:

- Extensive experience in managing, reviewing, and negotiating contracts
- Experience negotiating with Tier 1 and Tier 2 construction companies
- A commercial mindset with exposure to legalities and management of contracts
- Detail focused and able to work with tight timeframes to meet internal client needs
- Exceptional written, verbal communication and negotiation skills
