**The Role**:
An opportunity exists for a Locum Haematologist & Iron Service Lead to join the team at Northern Health.
This role requires:
- Outpatient clinics Monday AM (Epping campus) and Thursday PM (Craigieburn campus)
- Oversight of the Day Infusion Centre HMO managing Rapid Access Iron Clinics
**To be successful in this role you will have**:
**Essential**
- _Medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)._
- _Undergraduate medical qualification as a first degree is essential - MBBS, MD or equivalent_
- _Appropriate specialty qualifications such as Fellowship of the Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent is essential - FRACP AND Fellowship of the College of Pathologists of Australasia or equivalent is essential - FRCPA_
- _Current Working with Children History Check_
- _A current national criminal history police check (completed upon appointment)_
**Experience**
- _Must have a proven track record of commitment to continued improvement, research development and team work_
- _Must have a demonstrated and ongoing commitment to education of themselves, their colleagues, junior staff, other team members, and medical students._
- _Must have a demonstrated and ongoing commitment to medical research, audit, QC and other activities that improve patient care._
- _Experience and active participation in clinical research / trials is highly desirable_
