The newly developed Mental Health Division within Northern Health encompasses Adult Mental Health Services and Older Adults Mental Health Services and offers a range of community and inpatient based services across North West and Northern Areas. **The Role**:
If you are an experienced psychologist who is enthusiastic and values the contribution that a skilled psychology workforce can bring to the recovery and wellbeing of a diverse community through evidence-based education and training then this is an exciting opportunity to join Northern Health.

This is a newly established position, you will be instrumental in establishing and leading the MHD psychology clinical educator team and work closely with the Director of Psychology to shape and influence the psychology discipline and its deliverables by overseeing the development and implementation of our student placements, psychology registrar program and professional development activities for multidisciplinary workforce.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Extensive clinical experience of 10 years or more working as a senior clinical psychologist or clinical neuropsychologist, and has had substantial experience within public mental health system.
- Current AHPRA registration under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law (Victoria) Act 2009 & Psychology Board Approved supervisor.
- You will have good working knowledge of the diverse range of mental health disorders and current best clinical practice.
- A passion for supporting and experience the learning and development of psychologists in public mental health settings through the development and delivery of specialised clinical skills delivered through training, education and clinical supervision.
- Knowledge and understanding of the competency requirements and support structures required for postgraduate students completing external placements, psychology registrar program and professional psychology.
- You will have a good understanding of the challenges that are faced within public mental health system in recruiting and retaining psychologists.
- Proven ability to lead others in a clear vision and framework to meet the needs of the psychology workforce.
