About the Position

Are you an experienced HR Manager looking for an exciting opportunity to lead and drive human resources strategies, initiatives, and operations within a renowned industry-leading organisation? Your knack for building collaborative relationships will be put to use as you work closely with your business unit to identify and implement strategies that boost performance in key areas such as talent management, organisational health, engagement, attraction and retention, employee development, remuneration, benefits, organisational design, change, diversity, and HR policies.

**Responsibilities**:
As the National Human Resources and Industrial Relations Manager for the Government and Defence Business Unit, your key responsibilities will include:

- Providing strategic advice to the executive and leaders of the Government and Defence Business Unit, driving organisational initiatives and change
- Assisting in the implementation of the HR plan, focusing on enhancing performance within the business units
- Ensuring talent management activities are robustly established, addressing succession planning, retention, talent and career development, while coaching and supporting managers
- Supporting and coaching managers in enhancing their capabilities related to performance management, workforce planning, and remuneration review activities
- Overseeing employee engagement activities within the business unit, including recognition programs, pulse checks, and health & well-being initiatives
- Handling complaints and investigations, ensuring a fair and timely resolution of matters

About You

- A demonstrated ability to lead successful strategic and transformational change within an organisation
- Proven ability to influence and enable executive and operational teams, driving and elevating organisational performance
- Exposure to strong, leading-edge human capital practices, leveraging operational, financial, people, and industry information to identify trends and make well-informed recommendations
- A talent for supporting the development of others through coaching, mentoring, and guidance
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
