The Budget Officer role within the Portfolio Budget and Finance branch provides analysis, administrative and budgetary transactional support to the Finance, Infrastructure and Procurement Services Division. The role assists to ensure the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning estimates management complies with legislative requirements, Department of Treasury and Finance policy and timelines, and relevant accounting standards.
Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications
- Experience using Microsoft Excel is well regarded.
- Experience in best practice budgeting within government and knowledge of the Financial Management Act is desirable.
- Degree in accounting, finance or commerce or equivalent is desirable.

This is an ongoing position. The work location for this position is flexible within with hybrid work arrangements available.
