Compliance Officer - Multiple Positions
- Salary: $92,332 - $104,762 (Plus Superannuation)
- Ongoing, full-time role (flexibility may be available)
- Usual work location: 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne CBD (flexibility may be available)

The Role
Reporting to the Manager, Boxing and Combat Sports, the Compliance Officer will assist in ensuring sector compliance with the Professional Boxing and Combat Sports Board's licensing, registration and permit conditions and policies.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Ensure sector compliance with the Professional Boxing and Combat Sports Board's licensing, registration and permit system conditions. Tasks include:
a) Assist the Manager, Boxing and Combat Sports in ensuring all promotions and weigh ins comply with applicable regulatory requirements.
b) Monitor and assess compliance of conditions and standards of recognised amateur associations.
c) Provide timely and accurate advice to applicants and in response to enquiries received about permit, licensing and registration conditions and policies.
d) Assist the Manager, Boxing and Combat Sports in providing advice to the Board to facilitate its consideration of proposed promotions, contests and appointments of officials.
e) Coordinate officials' appointments, complete contest documentation and logistics for professional boxing and combat sports promotions and weigh ins.
- Build and maintain effective partnerships through consultation, engagement and liaison with key departmental staff, Board members and external stakeholders such as Victoria Police, recognised amateur associations and other state combat sport regulatory bodies and represent the State's combat sports regulatory requirements and current and emerging trends and risks.
- Provide advice to stakeholders and assist in the preparation and presentation of reports, correspondence, ministerial briefs, cabinet and agency submissions regarding professional boxing and combat sports. This includes analysis and reporting of injury, promotion, licence and registration data.

The Team
The positions of Compliance Officer form a part of the Sport and Recreation Victoria branch within the Sport and Experience Economy Group.

About You
Demonstrated knowledge of public policy development and government legislation and regulation, and the ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders are highly desirable for these roles.
Your relevant experience in government administration and/or regulation will also enable you to make an immediate contribution towards the objectives of the branch.
Use your compliance assurance skills to ensure all applicants, recognised amateur associations, licence and registration holders comply with the regulatory requirements that support safety, integrity and reduce the risk of malpractice in the sport. You will use and develop your project management experience within this role.
