What you will do:


As our Compliance Officer, you will be an integral part of our team, providing support and guidance to all departments to ensure that we're fully compliant with the regulations and gambling licenses where we operate.

You'll work closely with various teams across the company, including finance, operations, and marketing to ensure that we're following regulatory requirements.


Your main focus will be on developing and implementing policies and procedures that are in line with regulatory requirements to minimize our risk exposure.

You'll be responsible for conducting regular audits and risk assessments, providing guidance on compliance issues, and ensuring that our policies and procedures are up-to-date.

You are passionate about compliance and can work independently and proactively.

You have a strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations governing the online gaming and gambling industry, and are comfortable communicating complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the company complies and operates according to the highest legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Push the company to the highest ethical, community and industry standards.
  • Provide daytoday support to the other teams in the company such as Marketing, Product, Finance and Tech teams;
  • Manage the company's relationships with industry regulators and other actors and respond to regulatory inquiries.
  • Draft, review and implementation of business practices, internal policies and procedures manuals to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and industry developments to ensure the company is aware of changes in laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits to identify any gaps in compliance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Train employees on compliance policies and procedures and ensure they are uptodate with any changes in laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including HR, legal and IT, to develop and implement effective compliance programs.
  • Manage and oversee internal investigations related to compliance issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with industry associations and trade groups.
  • Assist with the development of internal controls to identify, measure, and manage risks.
  • Perform other duties as deemed necessary.

Requirements:

You're perfect for this role if:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, law or related field. Advanced degree or certification in compliance or a related field is preferred;
  • Experience within the online gambling industry and knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to the online gambling industry;
  • Experience drafting and reviewing policies and internal procedures manuals;
  • Experience conducting compliance audits and investigations;
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fastpaced, dynamic environment
  • Good level of computer skills (including Excel and PowerPoint);
  • Perfect written and spoken English

It would be a bonus if you also had (Desirable skills):

  • Sports & Gambling knowledge advantageous
  • Cryptocurrency knowledge would be advantageous
  • Proficient with Google Suite (Drive, Spreadsheets, Docs), Slack, Airtable & Intercom
  • Australian work rights are preferred.
