**About the Role**

In this exciting leadership position, you will lead, motivate, and manage the teams responsible for delivery of Rail services nationally, ensuring you safely manage variations on the day of operations across the business.

As the Intermodal Service Delivery Manager, you will be expected to manage a team, providing leadership and support in a collaborative and inclusive manner. You will also be responsible for ensuring the service delivery team delivers against set tasks and deadlines.

This role has a strong emphasis on implementing business improvements, cultural change, safe working improvement, customer engagement and ensuring productive workplace practices.

In addition, the Service Delivery Manager responsibilities include:

- Responsible for service plan management which identifies conflicts, constraints, efficiency & effectiveness opportunities.
- Provide support and mentoring for complex operating decisions relating to variation management whilst maintaining a safety above all else approach.
- Responsible for making sure the Service Delivery teams have the systems, processes, training, resources, and knowledge to safely coordinate train services in line with the customer contracts and PN priorities.
- Articulate the vision and goals to ensure individuals & teams understand what success looks like
- Role model collaboration and best for business approach within the Planning team and across the broader operations team
- Actively mentor emerging talent across the Service Delivery team

**About You**

You will have exposure working within a fast pace, dynamic environment ideally within logistics, emergency services or network operations. You will have well-honed skills in critical thinking with the ability to review, analyse and implement service plans. An agile mindset is required allowing you to quickly change scope and work through recovery scenarios. You will have experience leading successful teams and enjoy mentoring and developing your team.

**In addition, you will have**:

- Proven success in an operationally focused service delivery environment
- Experience in rail or other heavy transport industries including specialist knowledge of transport, logistics planning and operations.
- Ability to drive and implement complex projects for Service Delivery.
- Demonstrated capability in leading and managing dynamic and multifaceted business operations.
- Previous success in analysing performance data to continuously improve systems, process and human factors.
- Ability to coach & develop a pipeline of talent for succession planning.
- Strong problem-solving capability
- Qualifications in frontline management, logistics, business or similar preferred
