Please note, applicants for recent process QLD/465290/23 Project Manager need not re-apply.In the role of Manager (Workplace Change), you will support the Executive Director (Office of the Deputy Director-General) Corporate, to deliver responsive products and services, achieving departmental business priorities and strategic objectivesAccountabilities include: - Lead, manage and coordinate the stakeholder management and engagement initiatives including stakeholder engagement, communication and workplace change strategy planning activities. Provide tactical and operational advice for communications and change management issues and strategies, including the development, implementation and delivery of strategies and project plans, in a corporate focused environment. Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to negotiate and facilitate cooperation, coordination and enhanced communication channels and networks. Ensure appropriate governance frameworks are maintained and adhered to implement communication and workplace change management activities including the development of comprehensive written communication, information and materials. Monitor and report progress on the achievement of scheduled project milestones including business readiness, engagement and exception and variance reporting. Act independently and manage assigned tasks to ensure quality outputs are delivered within agreed time frames and in accordance with approved scope and quality standards. Manage business and stakeholder expectations with diplomacy by establishing a partnership culture with internal and external stakeholders, including employee representatives and support teams. Identify, document, and escalate changes to project scope including the identification of alternate management strategies, and manage internal communications to ensure key stakeholders are aware of progress and issues arising from the project. Manage controlled change and proactively build team capability and responsiveness through the development, cultivation and maintenance of effective consultation and relationships with internal and external project and program stakeholders, including subject matter experts, stakeholder reference groups and project and program boards. Contribute to the improvement of existing workforce change frameworks and structures where necessary, and take personal responsibility to deliver on agreed outcomes, model high standards of professionalism and ethical behaviour, demonstrate self-awareness and a commitment to personal development. Undertake the role in accordance with the requirements of s26(1) of the Public Service Act 2008 and always ensure that the principles as found in the Code of Conduct for the Queensland Public Service are upheld in the carrying out of all duties. Undertake your duties as a manager in accordance with s26(2) & (3) of the Public Service Act 2008 through regular management and performance conversations with staff under your supervision and by implementing departmental performance and development strategies to assist in developing and maintaining high performing and committed staff.This Manager (Workplace Change) position reports to the Executive Director, Office of the Deputy Director-General, Corporate.Mandatory requirements: - Criminal History Screening will be conducted on the recommended person for the role.Desirable capabilities: - Highly Desirable - Demonstrated experience in workplace change and project management in a public sector, corporate environment (IR/ER).Applications to remain current for 12 months.Job Ad Reference: QLD/474007/23Closing Date: Tuesday, 14 March 2023This work is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Australia License.
