**POSITION**
Under the direct supervision of the Head of Procurement, the Safety Coordinator plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Health and Safety Management Framework (HSMF)**
- Investigate incidents and near-misses, documenting findings, and making recommendations for improvements to prevent future occurrences
- Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, inspections, and training activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential safety risks and recommend corrective actions to mitigate them effectively
- Implement Employee Wellbeing Program
- Work with work group to ensure audit readiness
- Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and legal requirements pertaining to occupational health and safety to continuously improve our safety programs

**Training**
- Collaborate with the site leadership team to recommend, facilitate and deliver training programs, workshops, and safety awareness campaigns to promote a culture of safety within the organisation
- Coach/train leaders and staff to conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments
- Undertake training needs analysis and implement a training plan within workgroup
- Ensure H&S Induction is completed for new staff, contractors and visitors

**Site Management**
- Provide day to day administrative support as required by the business

**ABOUT YOU**
- Proven work experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or food production environment
- Strong analytical skills to identify safety risks and develop effective risk mitigation strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Competent presenter/facilitator
- Strong Interpersonal Skills
- High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records within a HSE management system

**QUALIFICATIONS**
Relevant certifications or qualifications in occupational health and safety will be highly regarded

Solid knowledge of local occupational health and safety regulations and best practices
