**The Opportunity**

You will be part of the team supporting the South Australia Region to achieve outcomes against the government’s First Nations policy agenda. The successful applicant will be part of the Program, Corporate and Business Support (PCB) team responsible for the management of Program Coordination, Corporate and Business Support functions for the SA Region.

The PCB team provides support to the Regional Manager and deputies, coordinating and contributing to programme and strategic management and business operations across the SA Region.

Team responsibilities include:

- Grant coordination including strategic grant planning, programme area liaison, grant round briefing, site visit and other milestone reporting coordination, ceasing grants process coordination and centralised briefing
- Lead the interface between the SA Regional Office and the Grant Management Unit and coordinate regional work processes, including developing local processes to embed streamlined operating frameworks and supporting place-based teams
- Report coordination including coordinating SA region input to Annual Reports, Good News Stories, COVID reporting and QUAD reports
- Grant Design and Program Reform, including supporting the sub-regions in relation to Employment Early Years and Education and Social and Emotional Wellbeing reforms
- Regional Business Planning including providing input into the NIAA Business Planning processes, coordination the development of the SA Region Business plan
- Workforce planning including the development of an SA Workforce Capability plan and supporting the Executive with resource planning, recruitment processes, leave planning and capability development
- Provide support to the Regional Manager, Senior Advisers and the SA Executive Leadership Team (ELT) across business operations including workplace culture and NIAA Values & Behaviours, Footprints program and learning and development.

To fill the role, we are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following competencies:

- Ability to prioritise and deliver high quality work in a fast-paced environment, and within tight timeframes - paying close attention to detail and exercising discretion
- Strong understanding of the issues affecting First Nations people
- Strong judgement and political nous demonstrated by your ability to make sound decisions
- Strong strategic planning, coordination, business support and leadership skills
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a focus on building strong networks with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to harness local intelligence on priority matters and emerging issues to enable quality advice to address complex issues
- Well-developed critical thinking skills and understanding of the link between the government’s First Nations policy agenda and regional policy implementation
- Demonstrated analytical, research, data, and problem-solving skills
- Strong administration, coordination, and computer literacy skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce quality written work including developing briefs and strategic documents and undertaking quality assurance processes
- Culturally competent with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
