Overview

The Perth USAsia Centre at The University of Western Australia is seeking a Communications and Marketing Manager. The role is Level 9, full-time, fixed term to 30 June 2027, with the possibility of extension. Base salary range: $129,497 – $137,029 p.a. plus 12% superannuation. The Centre is based in Perth and is an independent company aligned with the University's values.

Responsibilities
  • Shape and amplify the Centre's reputation across Australia and the Indo-Pacific through strategic oversight of branding, marketing, communications, and engagement.
  • Provide hands-on leadership to elevate the Centre's reach, driving engagement and visibility through integrated communication and outreach strategies.
  • Shape and deliver integrated marketing and communications strategies that connect the Centre with audiences across Australia and the Indo-Pacific.
  • Lead the Centre's brand presence, craft compelling digital and media content, and spearhead campaigns that grow engagement, boost course enrolments, and secure high-profile coverage.
  • Lead the Communications team while working across all Centre functions to deliver the Centre's business plan.
About You
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated senior experience in brand, marketing and communications management.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute communication strategies across a wide range of channels and audiences.
  • High level proficiency in digital channel management including website hosting and analytics, EDMs, social media and paid advertising.
  • Excellent writing and production skills for high-quality communication across platforms, including VIP audiences.
Note

The successful applicant will be required to hold a current National Police Clearance and may be expected to undertake occasional weekend or after-hours work, as well as domestic and overseas travel as needed.
