PHE Power and Infrastructure is seeking a highly motivated Safety Advisor to join our team based at our Eagle Farm office on a permanent, full-time basis. This position involves a mix of local and away work.

We encourage candidates from Brisbane and surrounding areas to apply.

Based in Eagle Farm, PHE's Brisbane operations undertake small- and large-scale projects for iconic clients throughout Brisbane and South-East Queensland. You will be responsible for providing HSE support, training, and enhancing safety knowledge across our team.

About You
  • Diploma in OHS or a minimum of Cert IV WHS and TAE
  • Internal Auditing training (preferred)
  • Knowledge of WHS and Environmental legislation, standards, and codes of practice
  • D&A testing qualification or ability to obtain one
  • Return to Work Coordination Qualification
  • Previous experience as an HSE Advisor on Industrial Electrical construction projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong safety leadership skills
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Flexible and willing to work away from home as required
About The Role
  • Lead efforts to promote Work Health, Safety & Environment on site to foster continuous improvement and implement best practice management systems
  • Conduct training needs analysis and manage internal audits in collaboration with management
  • Prepare reports, record data, and gather evidence of compliance
  • Manage workers' compensation matters, including rehabilitation, case management, and return to work programs
  • Report workers' compensation issues to management
  • Ensure all personnel work safely and comply with WHS & Environmental laws and regulations
  • Conduct random D&A testing on site
  • Identify non-conformances, investigate incidents, and develop corrective actions
