Company : Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd About the Role We are currently recruiting a passionate Safety Advisor to join our well-established Health, Safety, Environment division.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in our Mackay, QLD office.
Reporting to the Safety Manager, the primary responsibility of this role is to coordinate all aspects of Health, Safety, Sustainability & Risk Management for Hastings Deering employees working within our operations teams.
Key Responsibilities Provide expert advice and assistance to foster a safe and healthy work environment.
Evaluate and inspect workplace environments and practices to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Assist in pre-shift planning, scheduling, and inspections to maintain operational safety.
Contribute to and implement our safety management system, aligning with company and legislative requirements.
Facilitate Incident Cause Analysis Method (ICAM) investigations and coordinate accident/incident reporting and corrective actions.
Coordinate Workplace Rehabilitation Program for injured employees to ensure optimal recovery and minimized premiums.
Conduct inductions and training, ensuring compliance with site and company requirements.

Essential Requirements The successful applicant will demonstrate the following knowledge, skills, and attributes: Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role.
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety.
Workplace Rehabilitation Coordinator qualifications.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
Experience in incident investigation and reporting.
