PHE Power and Infrastructure is currently seeking a highly motivated Safety Advisor to join our team based out of our Eagle Farm office on a permanent, full-time basis. This position will involve a mixture of local and away work.

Based in Eagle Farm, PHE's Brisbane operations undertake small- and large-scale project work for iconic clients throughout Brisbane and South-East Queensland. You will be responsible for providing HSE support, training, and building safety knowledge across our team.

ABOUT YOU:

  • Diploma in OHS qualification or minimum Cert IV WHS and TAE
  • Internal Auditing training (preferred)
  • Sound working knowledge and understanding of WHS and Environmental legislation, standards, and codes of practice
  • D&A testing qualification or ability to obtain
  • Return to Work Coordination Qualification
  • Previous experience as a HSE Advisor working on Industrial Electrical construction projects
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong safety leadership qualities
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Flexible and willing to work away from home as required

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Provide leadership to promote Work Health, Safety & Environment throughout the site, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and implementing best practice management systems
  • Conduct regular training needs analysis and manage internal audit programs in consultation with management
  • Prepare reports, record data, and gather evidence of site compliance
  • Manage workers' compensation matters, including rehabilitation, case management, and return to work programs
  • Report workers' compensation issues to management
  • Ensure all personnel work safely and comply with all relevant WHS & Environmental Acts and Regulations
  • Conduct random D&A testing on site
  • Identify non-conformances related to health, safety, and environment, investigate issues, and develop solutions
