Overview

Join to apply for the Vehicle Inspector role at carsales. This is a Mobile Vehicle Inspector position with Redbook Inspect, covering Melbourne Central and East/Southeast Melbourne. Standard business hours (Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday).

This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing team that delivers safety and inspection services, both in person and digitally.

What you'll be doing
  • Use your mechanical expertise to conduct a range of vehicle inspections for retail customers, dealers, and other business clients.
  • Contact customers to book inspections and liaise with owners, sellers and buying customers about their inspection.
  • Document the outcomes of inspections on our digital app, and share your mechanical insights with customers by visually diagnosing vehicles.
Qualifications
  • Extensive work experience as a qualified mechanic post apprenticeship accreditation, ideally with a large range of motor vehicles.
  • A can-do, proactive work ethic and a results-driven mindset.
  • Customer-centric approach with a commitment to exceptional service.
  • Willingness to undertake Accredited Vehicle Examiners course if not already accredited.
  • A current, unrestricted VIC driver's license.
  • Flexibility regarding availability for Saturday work if required.
