Hearing Australia is a trusted leader in hearing health. We support and empower people through hearing health when and where they need it. As a Customer Service Officer, you'll support and empower clients of all backgrounds, including children and adults who need us.

Your opportunity

As a Customer Service Officer, you'll work with a team to provide excellent service, greet clients, and assist with a range of administrative and client-facing tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Greet clients and attend to counter and telephone enquiries
  • Reception duties and general administration: manage appointments in person and by phone, process claims and payments, data entry for stock management, and prepare reports for compliance
  • Liaise with clients (including children and adults) and those from diverse backgrounds
  • Performa minor hearing aid repairs and troubleshooting with guidance provided
  • Support the clinical team by identifying client needs and demonstrating hearing aid use
What you'll bring
  • Proactive problem solver with ownership of work
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to work across multiple locations and use tools to stay connected (virtual support)
  • Intermediate/advanced computer literacy (MS Outlook, MS Teams, browser-based apps); experience with mobile tech (iOS/Android); CRM exposure; familiarity with Medicare and NDIS funding is beneficial
  • Desire to work in an organisation that contributes to the greater good and positively impacts clients and families
Requirements and expectations
  • Willingness to undergo a Police Check (paid by Hearing Australia)
  • Current driver's licence and rights to work in Australia

Role details
  • Fixed-term (12 months), part-time position (4 days/week), 8:30am–5:10pm
  • Location: Gippsland cluster (Sale, Traralgon, Moe) – onsite position
