As they continue to expand and evolve, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resources Manager to lead the HR function at one of their key operations located in Mudgee NSW.

About the Role

This is a career-defining opportunity for a strategic and people-focused HR leader with experience in blue-collar or mining environments. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving cultural initiatives, embedding best practice HR, and ensuring alignment with business strategy. You'll lead a small HR team on-site and work closely with senior stakeholders to deliver pragmatic, people-first solutions across ER/IR, workforce planning, talent, and culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategically partner with site leadership to deliver HR solutions that support operational goals.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing HR team.
  • Drive culture and engagement initiatives aligned to the company's core values and "Our Way" framework.
  • Oversee ER/IR matters including Enterprise Agreement negotiations and union engagement.
  • Implement HR strategies, frameworks, and metrics that drive performance and accountability.
  • Provide coaching to senior leaders and build capability across departments.
  • Develop and manage the annual HR budget.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and internal HR standards.
  • Support change management and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
About You

You are an experienced HR professional with a passion for people and the confidence to influence across all levels. You thrive in dynamic, operational environments and bring a values-led, collaborative approach to leadership.

To be successful, you will have:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years' experience in a senior HR role, ideally in mining, construction, manufacturing, or other heavy industries.
  • Strong ER/IR expertise, including enterprise bargaining and union interaction.
  • Proven leadership experience – able to coach, mentor and drive performance in teams.
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience leading cultural transformation and employee engagement initiatives.
  • A strategic mindset with hands-on operational execution.
  • Strong commercial acumen and a results-driven approach.
Desirable: Experience in Open Cut Mining.
