Your new job

This role will be responsible tocollate and respond to SSD applications on behalf of Council. This is a fixedcontract role and we will be very flexible on hours and availability.

Selection criteria:

  • Minimum 3years Local Government planning experience (or similar)
  • Tertiaryplanning qualifications or tertiary qualifications in an affiliatedfield to planning or in the process of obtaining the qualification
  • Demonstratedability to provide specialist advice on planning matters
  • Demonstratedtime management skills to coordinate a number of consecutive projectsand meet deadlines individually and managing others
  • Ability toresearch, review, draft, develop and ability to implement strategicstudies, Local Environmental Plans, Development Control Plans, policiesand codes
  • High levelprofessional communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Ability tobuild and maintain working relationships within Council, developers andcommunity
  • Knowledgeof workplace health and safety responsibilities and a commitment toattending relevant WHS training.

The salary range being offeredfor this temporary full-time position is $3,602 - $4,054 gross per fortnightplus superannuation which equates to an annual salary of $93,667 - $105,419gross plus superannuation (dependent on skills, qualifications and experience).
