
Urban Development Associate

The role of a town planning cadet involves playing a vital part in the development and growth of communities. They will work closely with experienced planners to develop their skills and knowledge, applying theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios.
- Assist in preparing reports and documents related to land use planning and development applications.
- Conduct research and analysis on planning-related topics, providing recommendations to inform decision-making.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including community members, developers, and other government agencies.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or studying in your penultimate or final year a Bachelor of Planning (or equivalent) at a registered training organisation.
- General computer literacy including basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email and internet programs.
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to apply planning theory to real-world situations.
- Strong organisational skills and time management skills with ability to manage competing priorities.
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
