Your contribution

The Service Support Officer (SCAN) coordinates the effective functioning of teams within the SCAN System.

Key Duties And Responsibilities
  • Coordination of the functioning of the SCAN Assessment and Management (AM) Team for effective and professional discussion and recommendations and to effectively manage the process of referral, discussion, recommendation and review.
  • Provide a multi-agency forum to ensure greater flexibility to effectively case manage the protective needs of children in a broader range of communities, including remote and Indigenous communities.
  • Provision of advice, consultancy and support to the SCAN AM team and to SCAN Community Implementation (CI) Team convenors.
  • Advise SCAN AM Team members about the preparation of written material for SCAN Team meetings and develop and maintain record and review systems consistent with statutory requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs of the SCAN System operations and practice standards, operational guidelines and review of the SCAN System functionality.
  • Enhance the local regional community by actively practicing and promoting excellence in service delivery and public administration and identifying opportunities for improving regional client service.
