Lead and shape breast cancer care

The McGrath Cancer Care Nurse is a recognised clinical leader in cancer care, responsible for:

  • Expert clinical care – coordinating complex breast cancer care across settings, using evidence-based pathways and validated assessment tools.
  • Leadership in practice – guiding best practice, developing and reviewing clinical guidelines, and modelling advanced nursing practice.
  • Strategic contribution – participating in service & workforce planning, and influencing future directions in breast cancer services.
  • Education and mentoring – providing advanced education for colleagues and supporting the professional development of the broader cancer nursing team.
  • Collaborative partnerships – building strong links with oncology, palliative care, allied health and community services.
  • Advocacy and awareness – participation in internal and external committees and raising the profile of breast cancer support services.

Employment Type: This is a part-time, fixed-term opportunity to 15 August 2028.
