About the Opportunity

Due to ongoing growth, a great opportunity has become available as a Technical Sales Representative in our Building Line/Construction products.

This is a varied role where a good understanding of Mapei Building Line of products - Waterproofing, concrete repair/protection, joint sealants/adhesives, anchoring adhesives, epoxy flooring products and their relevant applications is a must.

Working under the direction of the State Sales Manager you will be given the opportunity to establish and further grow our Building Line of products across SEQ.

The Role

  • Promote Mapei products and their technical advantages to all existing and new clientele
  • Provide accurate project forecasting to the State Sales Manager for planning purposes
  • Attend construction site meetings and offer sound technical assistance to all involved parties
  • Working with Mapei Australia's technical team to write site specific specifications
  • Increase Mapei's footprint with new customers and increased sales within your territory
  • Gain project specifications through various means

About You

  • Trade background in Waterproofing, Concrete repair and resin flooring is advantageous
  • Recent sales experience in Waterproofing, Concrete repair and resin flooring is a must
  • Experience dealing with tier 1 builders and contractors essential
  • Be able to assist/organize training events
  • Ability to follow directions and instructions
  • Reliable and honest
  • Ability to build quick rapport with people
  • A strong customer service delivery focus

Language & Other Skills

  • Proficient skills in IT, Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point, MS Teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team member
  • Ability to be "hands on" and outcomes-focused
  • Have a continuous improvement mindset
