An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and capable Principal to lead Norfolk Island Central School. This is a key leadership role, not only within the school but also in the wider Norfolk Island community. About The SchoolNorfolk Island Central School is located on Norfolk Island, approximately 1,400 km east of Byron Bay in the South Pacific. Fully funded by the Commonwealth of Australia, the school operated under the NSW Department of Education until 2022, when the Queensland Department of Education assumed responsibility for delivering educational services. The school prides itself on the high-quality delivery of education for approximately 300 students from Prep to Year 12.

- Uphold the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Be an active participants in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
- Futures oriented and strategic.
- Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling, given operates in a different jurisdiction and legislative framework to that of Queensland.
- Manage resources to achieve goals.
