About the Opportunity

The Production Day Shift Supervisor will manage allocated shift resources to meet the specified Production Program whilst maintaining all statutory requirements and meeting the specified efficiency, safety and quality targets. You will oversee the day-to-day operation of each shift, ensuring that the budgeted capacity is met or exceeded.

Key responsibilities:

  • Optimisation of processes and equipment, including energy and raw materials consumption
  • Manage Shop Floor Control (SFC) and SFC-QP (quality version)
  • Timely troubleshooting and correction of plant and product faults
  • Maintenance of safe working procedures and good housekeeping practices
  • Reporting on shift performance, including variances from production standards through Shop Floor Control and SFC-QP
  • Selection, induction and general training of replacement shift personnel
  • Achievement of the plant's budgeted performance efficiencies as a minimum requirement

About You

  • Production Supervision experience or similar
  • Trade and/or Tertiary qualifications
  • Preventative maintenance strategies
  • Ability to comprehend the chemistry of a complex processing environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of Modern Manufacturing principles
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to improve individual and team performance
  • Proven negotiating and influencing skills
  • Good planning and organisational skills and excellent written and verbal communication
  • High levels of attention to detail and accuracy
