Our client is a leading Tier 1 construction contractor operating nationally across Australia. Known for delivering large-scale infrastructure, commercial, and mixed-use developments, they are recognised for their commitment to safety, innovation, and quality.

They are currently seeking a Project Engineer on a 6-month contract role, starting ASAP on a major residential project in Brunswick.

Project Details

  • Project: $150M, 169-bed apartment development
  • Packages: Façades, balustrades, and various miscellaneous scopes
  • Rate: Up to $80/hr (negotiable based on experience)
  • Hours: 40 hours/week + occasional Saturdays (approx. 1/month, rotated)
  • Duration: Minimum 6 months with a strong chance of extension

Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and delivery of construction works in accordance with project schedules, quality standards, and safety requirements
  • Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to coordinate design and construction
  • Prepare and review technical documentation
  • Monitor and report on project progress, cost control, and risk management
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, project specifications, and contract requirements
  • Provide technical support during procurement and site execution phases
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, inspections, and quality assurance

Requirements
  • Previous experience delivering similar builds and project values in Melbourne
  • Valid White Card
  • Ideally 5+ years' experience in construction and looking to grow with a top-tier contractor
