Allied Health Assistant - Rural

The Western NSW LHD Rural Allied Health Assistant Program is a bespoke rural training experience designed to provide opportunity for participants to gain experience and skills, in a supported environment, to support therapy-based interventions by Allied Health professionals into the local rural health facility.

  • Employment Type: Temporary Full Time until 30/06/2026 (Job share Considered)
  • Position Classification: Allied Health Assistant Level 1, Allied Health Assistant Level 2, Allied Health Assistant Level 3
  • Remuneration: $60,747.33 - $68,682.13 pa (+ superannuation + salary packaging options)
  • Location: Lightning Ridge or Walgett, NSW
  • Hours Per Week: up to 38

Located within either the Lightning Ridge or Walgett MPS facilities you will be directed by allied health clinicians, both locally and from within the Local Health District, to enable and support holistic care for patients and residents. This position will also support the neighbouring Health Facilities. You will be well supported and will be an integral member of the community, contributing to the health and wellbeing of residents.

The Western NSW LHD Rural Allied Health Assistant Program provides a supported environment for participants to gain experience and skills to support therapy-based interventions by Allied Health professionals in local rural health facilities.
