Trainee Personal Banking Consultant – Townsville

About The Role: Are you ready to start a rewarding career in banking while learning on the job? We're looking for a motivated individual to join our friendly team as a Trainee Personal Banking Consultant.

This 12-month traineeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop valuable skills, and receive professional support as you learn. Working closely with our experienced team across the Townsville region, you'll build your knowledge while helping customers achieve their financial goals.

This is a full-time contract position, based on a 38-hour work week. You will be based in our Aitkenvale or Willows Branch and support our Townsville region.

About You
  • Exceptional communication & customer service skills
  • A demonstrated ability to positively adapt to change
  • Ability to quickly build rapport with people and work as a supportive team member
  • Higher School Certificate or similar qualification
  • FSRA ASIC Tier II Accreditation (within 5 years) (or the willingness to undertake it)
  • Experience in a similar retail and customer service position (desirable)
  • Previous cash handling experience (desirable)
  • Proven sales experience (desirable)
  • Complete an appropriate Certificate as part of the traineeship and any additional training relevant to the position and future promotion within Queensland Country Bank.
