Overview

We are seeking a professional, customer-focused Guest Service Agent (GSA) to join our front office team at the Sovereign Hotel on the Gold Coast. In this role, you will be the face of our hotel, ensuring every guest receives a warm welcome and exceptional service throughout their stay. The ideal candidate will have previous hotel or accommodation experience and working knowledge of the Resly Property Management System (preferred but not essential).

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet guests on arrival with a warm, welcoming attitude and provide efficient check-in/check-out services.
  • Manage and update guest reservations using Resly, ensuring accuracy in room assignments, rates, and billing.
  • Handle guest enquiries, concerns, and requests with professionalism and prompt problem-solving.
  • Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, tours, and services on the Gold Coast.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure a smooth guest experience.
  • Process payments, issue receipts/invoices, and maintain accurate transaction records.
  • Prepare daily reports and assist in end-of-shift handovers.
  • Ensure the front office area is clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
  • Uphold hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards.
About You
  • Previous experience in a front desk or hotel reception role.
  • Familiarity with Resly or other PMS platforms (preferred).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive, guest-focused attitude with a passion for hospitality.
  • Professional presentation and demeanor.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as needed.
