Description

The Package: $1,370.95 - $1,514.87 Gross per week + 12% Super. (Evaluated as Grade 8 of the QPRC Salary System 2025).

35 hours per week including weekends, public holidays and afterhours when events are scheduled. Flexible work arrangements may apply.

QPRC is on the hunt for an Events Officer to help dream up, plan, and deliver show-stopping events right across our region. From lively festivals to community celebrations, you'll be at the heart of creating moments people will remember (and talk about) long after the bunting comes down.

In This Role You Will

  • Be a key contributor to the coordination and delivery of Council's community events.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of all aspects of our event delivery including budgets, marketing, logistics and evaluation.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of events across Queanbeyan-Palerang.

We Are Looking For Someone Who
  • Has relevant qualifications and/or working experience in events management or similar.
  • Has effective communication skills and the ability to work with a range of stakeholders.
  • Exceptional time management skills, to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Has a proven ability to provide a high level of customer service.
